about a year ago, my mother began a project to help a primary school in cebu that is in need of books and supplies. the project was started in honour of my brother, who always made it a priority in his life to help those in the community around him.
the description she writes in the blog is below:
My son, who passed away at the young age of 22, left a legacy of dedication to improving educational opportunities for children in Indonesia. Prior to graduating from Jakarta International School, he and a friend organized a high school club devoted to raising funds to assist children in the neighboring kampung with educational costs. This ongoing fund helps defray costs of uniforms and textbooks, allowing many poor children in Jakarta the chance to attend school where they may otherwise have been forced to drop out.
In his honor, our family has chosen to assist the children of the San Isidro Primary School, to improve their educational environment, and to one day build a new structure that will house a nursery-kindergarten and library. Ron Paul valued reading and learning and he loved children. We hope to dedicate the future library to him.

i think there is no more appropriate way of honouring my brother than building a library for these children.
my mother is an amazing woman.
Hello Jes! I'm linking your blog to mine. I would love to donate to the library. How do I do it?
