let's just say not having a job right now has worked out in my favour. just a little bit.
my dad first popped by here in london for three days straight. he was here speaking at a conference so he only had obligations a few hours of each day and was able to meet up with me for the rest of the time.

this man is one of my heroes. I'm so lucky to have a father like him.
i appreciate so much how my mom and dad raised us. we were always treated as equals and our opinions always mattered to them. to this day, i love the discussions and conversations i have with both my mom and dad. they are always heartfelt and passionate.
my mom and dad are some of the most admirable, fun-loving, thoughtful people i know. while it has been hard to so often live so far away from them the past 6+ years, i am so grateful for the warm, loving relationships we continue to cultivate today.

isn't my mom gorgeous?
right after my dad left, neil's mom and dad and their good friends nolan and linda came for three days. unfortunately the past couple weeks i must have forgotten i had a camera because i took zero photos. but those few days they were here were a blast.
i am one of those EXTREMELY lucky girls in that my in-laws are some of the greatest people i know. every time they leave i've gained a 6 pack from how hard i've laughed and gained 5 pounds from how much we've been spoiled.
once i track down the iphone photos they took from our trip to hampton court, our afternoon tea excursion and all the other fun london activities we did together I'll post some pics.
now my cousin jen is in town from kyrgyzstan with her daughter, ainsley, who was my flower girl two years ago. i absolutely love this family. i had the chance to visit them in albania three years ago and now it’s been fun to have them over in my turf.
once again, i left it up to the other party to take photos. whoops. one day i'll learn. if you haven't noticed by now, my wedding was one of my last well-documented activity.
It’s been a whirlwind past two months since I left Citi and the trend is going to continue right up until Christmas. Can’t say I’m complaining.
