two years.

if you can't tell by all my posts, we love new york and all it has to offer. so much so, that when singing for a new apartment this week*, we checked the box that said "two year lease".

we're excited to feel for the first time in our marriage we are actually DEFINITELY going to be here at least two years.

in london we never even signed up for a phone plan, because we were always convinced we might be heading back to the US in 6-12 months. and when we first moved in NYC, with no jobs, no set plan as what to do next we always knew there was the chance we'd be heading out for opportunities elsewhere.

BUT. here we are. 16 months later after arriving to the city, and here we go checking that box. 

does this mean we can call ourselves new yorkers? (non-new yorkers would say yes, new yorkers would likely say, hell no (actual wording would likely be stronger).

here's to our future NY adventures! we are excited!

*later post to come as to WHY we are even checking a box on a new lease only 5 months after we moved to morningside heights (aka, pretty much harlem). the very short version. we are moving back downtown. the long version... oh that is a treat to come soon.
